Save Shimer College

Welcome Shimer Alumni and Supporters!

Shimer CollegeĀ needs your help. While the immediate crisis seems to be over, we must support Shimer’s progress towards stability and transparency.

In 2009 & 2010, a rogue President attempted to shape Shimer in his own image to empower his ideological project over the College’s tradition of shared inquiry. In April 2010, thanks to your advocacy, President Lindsay’s tenure ended.

But the future of Shimer is still in your hands. Donate now to ensure that Shimer stays a home to inquiry over ideology.

Interim President Ed Noonan has the support of students, staff, faculty, and alumni as he works to strengthen Shimer for another 150 years as a school dedicated to producing enlightened, active citizens.

We offer Interim President Noonan our support as he unifies the board behind the living Hutchins plan at Shimer and brings administrative leadership to ensure institutional stability.
